With another Halloween coming up, we remember the fun times we had on past Halloweens.  After shopping around online for costumes for the kids, we laughed about other Halloween costumes we wore.  One year, my son decided everyone should be a ghost for Halloween just like Casper.  He was quite enterprising and stripped his bed and his sister’s bed before I even woke up.  They both had white sheets and you can only imagine what happened next.

Somehow my son figured out the latch on my sewing box and took out my big shears.  He each white sheets he gathered from the bed and put it over his head.   Meanwhile, his artistic little sister drew eyes, nose and mouth on the sheet.  He then took the sheets and cut holes in strategic places.

I’ll never forget my wakeup call that morning.  My two children stood at my bedside wearing the sheets and yelling, “Boo!” in my face.  I pretended to be afraid and the kids loved it.  After a hearty laugh, the kids admitted they used their bedsheets.  I explained they should never do it again, but didn’t have the heart to punish them.  I just went back online and ordered two new bedding sheets for each of their beds and decided to cherish the memory of those childish antics forever.

We’re all on a budget and it’s hard to even afford the essentials. My husband and I have back problems like many older Americans so we invested in a luxury featherbed to make sleeping more comfortable. The kids love to hang out in our bedroom because of the puffy, soft bed. They sink right into and start rolling around and laughing.

While we love our kids, we also enjoy some private time in our bedroom. We decided to make the kids really happy and invest in discount featherbeds for each of them. They were excited when we told them we wanted to order fluffy featherbeds to make their rooms even better. Instead of packing up the kids in the van and shuffling off to the overcrowded mall, we decided to let our fingers do the shopping.

After clicking around for awhile online, we found the perfect discount featherbeds for our needs and budget. The prices were so affordable we ordered protective featherbed covers, too. In just a few days, the discount featherbeds were delivered right to our doorstep. Within minutes, the kids had their own clouds to sleep in. They all love their fantastic discount featherbeds. We love them too because now the kids are much more cooperative about going to those inviting new beds!

Yesterday was officially the first day of fall. We all feel the chill in the air and there’s even snow falling lightly in some parts of the country.  The warm summer days have slipped by and preparations for fall begin. It’s definitely time to get fall feather bedding on your beds for a warmer, cozier sleep. Sinking into a puffy down bed is a sure way to warm up and get the rest you deserve every night.

Start with a fluffy featherbed in a featherbed cover on top of your mattress. Add an Egyptian cotton fitted sheet in a fall hue such as gold, brown or bronze. Cover the fitted sheet with a flat Egyptian cotton sheet. Cover your fat down pillows with soft pillow cases. Add a down comforter covered in a decorative duvet to finish off your fall bed. The full set of feather bedding makes your bed look like a cozy cloud you want to jump right into.

Watch television, read magazines or books, daydream and sleep beautifully in a bed dressed up in feather bedding. Insulated feather bedding keeps your body temperature consistent and offers the total comfort you crave for all your relaxing moments.

I was sorry to see the summer season slip by.  Although it was the first day of fall, I still longed for hot days at the beach and sultry moonlit nights.  Unable the embrace the briskness of the new season, I decided to cheer myself up by shopping online.  Updating my bedroom decor might help me get to sleep at night now that I wasn’t exercising as much outdoors.

Bedroom sheets are always right next to your skin so I like them to be as soft and comfortable as possible.  After sweating it out for months on our summer bedroom sheets, I decided to invest in Egyptian cotton bedding sheets with a high thread count.  Rich colors such as beige, gold and bronze would be perfect for the fall season.  I felt myself starting to look forward to the cooler days and crisp evenings ahead.

When my new bedding sheets arrived, my husband noticed the difference right away.   The rich color made our bedroom feel like fall.  He loved the silky texture of the Egyptian cotton and couldn’t resist snuggling up with me on our new bedding sheets.  This was definitely an unexpected bonus.  After rolling around romantically for awhile, we settled into our new sheets for a restful sleep.  The cool evening and Egyptian cotton bedding sheets helped us get the rest we needed.

Fall felt better after I dressed up our bed in alluring Egyptian cotton bedding sheets in luxurious colors.

If you share a bed, should you be sleeping alone?  Has your partner’s ongoing snoring or hoarding of the covers really gotten to you?  Recent studies reveal couples sleeping in a shared bed might have additional health problems.  Who knew there was more to it than being kept awake by a snorer?

According to Dr. Neil Stanley, sleeping with a partner will increase your risk of heart disease, lung disorders, depression and strokes.  Sharing a bed even increases your risk of traffic accidents!  It seems that 50 percent of couples experience sleep disturbances from sharing a bed.  It seems it really can be harmful when your partner wakes you up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

Dr. Stanley doesn’t sleep with his own wife and suggests sleeping in separate beds for optimum health.  He also reminds us sharing a marital bed became a tradition after the Industrial Revolution when there was less living space available.

Whether you decide to sleep separately or together, you’re both sure to get a better rest when you settle into cushioned down featherbeds.  A down featherbed makes you bed more cozy and inviting.  Nestle between a down featherbed and a soft down comforter with a puffy down pillow under your head for the ultimate night’s sleep.

A college student’s bed gets a lot of activity. After all, most students share a small room with minimal furniture. Typically, a dorm room has a bed, lamp, desk, laptop and chair with a small television and radio. After going to class and sitting in hard chairs all days, a soft bed looks a lot more inviting than a small chair by a desk. Usually college students lounge across their beds to do homework, surf the Internet, eat meals and hangout with friends.

Because the bed is the main attraction in your college kid’s room, it should be luxurious. Include puffy down pillows, absorbent cotton bed sheets, a warm down comforter and a soft featherbed for total comfort. Make sure to purchase featherbed covers for the down featherbed as your college kid is likely to have several spills during the year. While wetting the bed usually isn’t a problem, if your college student discovers keg parties it could mean disaster to the bed. A featherbed cover keeps this essential part of the bedding protected. Your college kid can eat, drink and flop onto their featherbed without fear when you invest in protective featherbed covers.

When your youngest child goes off to college, it’s difficult to let go of your baby.  You spend weeks crying and preparing for your child’s temporary move to a dorm room or shared apartment.  Before your young adult heads off, you make sure there are plenty of cotton bedding sheets, down comforters and puffy down pillows to create a feeling of home away from home.

The first few days you feel the empty nest syndrome close it.  You look for your teen but nobody is home.  The quiet become almost oppressive until you suddenly realize your home is your own again!  Dance at midnight to the oldies, vacuum your rugs in the buff or drink until you feel silly - after all, you’re not under the watchful scrutiny of a teen!

This is also the perfect time to treat yourselves to a luxury bedding sheet for two.  You won’t have little ones crawling under your sheets or teens tossing themselves across your bed anymore.  You’ve finally earned the right to have those exotic Egyptian cotton sheets you always wanted.  Silky soft with a high threat count, Egyptian cotton sheets make both of you want to snuggle for hours.  By the way, you can do that too, because no teens will be barging through to interrupt!  Enjoy a decadent luxury bedding sheet for two and before you know it, your kids will be back to celebrate the holidays.
