Down Comforter Bedding

After a long day of school, sports and homework, I looked forward to coming home and relaxing. My favorite place to kick back was my big, soft bed. Mom put a plush featherbed and cozy down comforter on my bed so it always felt like I was sliding into heaven. I loved to do homework, read, watch television and sleep in my warm, welcoming bed.

All my hard work payed off and I received several scholarships to college. Not only was I able to afford tuition and books, my scholarships even covered rooming at the dorm. My parents didn’t expect me to go away to college so soon. They cried at first but assured me they were tear of pride, not sorrow. To be honest, I cried a little when I realized what was happening but I didn’t let anyone know.

We spent all summer having fun in the sun. My parents took me on long vacation down by the lake where we enjoy lazy afternoons swimming, barbecuing and talking. As the cool fall days drew near, we all knew the inevitable was about to happen. We started buying stuff to keep in my dorm room and packing bags filled with my favorite things. I told my Mom I simply had to take my favorite down comforter with me because it reminded me of all the love at home. I spent endless hours curled under that down during my high school days.

Now that I’m in my new dorm room, I’m already snuggled under my familiar down comforter. Home doesn’t feel so far away when I have the homey comfort of my lucky down comforter.
