Down Comforter Bedding
Down comforters equal good night sleep.
Everyone loves to receive a puffy, warm down comforter for Christmas. In the middle of winter, nothing is more cozy and comforting than luxurious down bedding. If you are fortunate enough to receive a down comforter this year, how to you keep it clean and store it during the warmer weather?
Cleaning a down comforter is usually as easy as putting it in your washing machine and dryer. You will find washing instructions on a tag sewn onto the down comforter. While most down blankets can be washed at home in your machine, it may not always be a wise idea. If you have a queen or king size down comforter, it may be best to wash it in a commercial size washing machine and dryer at a laundromat. You can even choose to bring your down bedding to a professional dry cleaner.
When the cold weather slips away and warmer days arrive, you will want to store your down safety for the first fall chill. Keep your down bedding a dry place that is also well-ventilated. Put the comforter in a breathable bag such as cotton so mildew does not form. Plastic bags will trap moisture and are not breathable.
With proper cleaning and storage, your beautiful down comforter will be warm and welcoming for years to come!
