400egyptian1.JPGKing Cotton was once the name for the cotton grown in the Deep South of the United States.  Egyptian fiber is now considered the king of all cottons for its durability and luxurious feel.  Egyptian cotton is used for all kinds of bedding including sheets, pillowcases and comforters.  The Egyptian grown cotton has a longer staple or fiber making for more continuous fiber to work with.  These Egyptian fibers are also thinner than other fibers making it possible to have more threads per square inch thus making a stronger fabric.

The feel of the sheets made from this Egyptian cotton may be a little more coarse than other cotton fibers when it is new, but with use and repeated washing it will become more and more soft.  Another advantage of the tight cotton fiber is that it will not “pill” after repeated washings.  All of these advantages and a reasonable price too.  No longer do you have to be a King Midas to afford this King cotton. These fine Egyptian cotton sheets will make you feel like a King.  Shop with us at Sleepy Down Comforters and find out for yourself!
